Granite fireplaces are almost always black in colour and feature a highly polished surface which is easy to clean and maintain. Natural Black Granite fireplaces are the most consistent in terms of colour variation and perhaps the most hard wearing of Granites available, making it an ideal choice to accompany a wide range of electric, gas and solid fuel type fires.
Limestone Fireplaces

Is Limestone suitable for my new fireplaces?
Limestone is a sedimentary rock, however the calcite in limestone is as hard as that of marble making it ideal for a fireplace. During transit and installation all limestone fireplaces must be handled with great care, this delicate stone is carefully extracted and then expertly crafted for your pleasure. Mistakes can be costly and our team have the experience necessary to securely transport and install limestone fireplaces of all types.
Once installed the light colours and soft feel of a limestone fireplaces can really add a touch of elegance and warmth to any living space. Care must be taken so as not to bring in to contact any liquids that may cause staining (i.e wine), however as the fireplace ages so too does the character of any natural limestone fireplace.
